    A Shu Xin Ping Xue Gong Zoom presentation lecture by Simon Watson

    Simon Watson is the president of the English Dao Yin Yang Sheng Gong Association and is a disciple of Professor Zhang Guangde the founder and creator of the Dao Yin Yang Sheng Gong system.

    Simon has been studying and practicing Dao Yin since 1989 and in 2019 was awarded his 7th Duan from Beijing University for Physical Education, for his 31 years commitment and dedication, which he received personally from Professor Zhang.

    Simon has written several publications on the subject of Dao Yin and has been given permission by Prof Hu Xiao Fei for them to be available to foreign students at Beijing University Daoyin Faculty. Simon coached the 2010 winning team at the 10th Health Qigong Competition in Beijing. The team won the gold medal for their performance and along with the English Daoyin Association founder Richard Watson was delighted when eight of its members attained their 4th Duan qualifications in Dao Yin Yang Sheng Gong.

    The English Daoyin Association presently numbers 50 instructors and well in excess of 3,000 students and is continuing to grow.

    Shu Xin Ping Xue Gong: In these two Zoom seminars Simon will be presenting Professor Zhang’s first Heart set. It is a set of of exercises designed specifically for the Cardiovascular system. The seminar will be open to both Dao Yin Yang Sheng Gong and Health Qigong practitioners of all levels with the aim of;

    • Gaining a deeper understanding of Professor Zhang’s methods, techniques, characteristics and the principles associated with the heart set.
    • Giving the attendees an insight into the relationship and understanding of how and why the movements relate to the cardiovascular system and how this set of Daoyin Yang Sheng gong has been designed to target improve the function of the heart and help prevent high blood pressure, coronary disease and other cardiovascular illness.
    • The routine will be practiced and Professor Zhang’s Theory will be discussed ‘In order to understand, we must understand the illness, the pathology and the principles for treatment’. This is a unique set of eight beautiful movements to calm the Heart/Mind and regulate the blood.

    The seminar will be conducted in a friendly and informal manner and will be held over two sessions to enable both teacher and students to delve deeper into this fascinating subject. It will also allow attendees a chance to make notes and raise queries and questions surrounding topics such as; physical, medical, philosophical and cultural subjects relating to Dao Yin.
