Email from Veronica Ashcroft: re 2009 Summer Camp
Dear Dick, Karen and Simon
Congratulations on the success of the inaugural Summer Camp at Hertfordshire
University! The transition to the new venue was seamless and, at the same time,
made very special by the moving ceremony on Saturday evening with Professor Li
creating Master Wang, Simon and Tary his disciples.
The celebration performances beforehand showed what talent, in depth,
there is among Longfei members, as well as the joy and enthusiasm everyone has
for Tai Chi.
Simon, Master Wang and Tary, even starting at 7.30am, gave of their
sparkling clarity throughout the two days. Professor Li continued to inspire and
enlighten, with his inimitable humour and passion for sharing his knowledge and
understanding. I was also very fortunate to experience Mrs Li's impeccable and delightful
instruction in the fan when we were working in groups. I'm sure I wasn't
alone in finding the whole weekend energising and uplifting.
Many thanks to all of you and, Karen, for your hard work and thoughtfulness
in making the Summer Camp possible again, and such an enjoyable experience,
especially with the increased number of options, the new timetable, as well as
being at a new venue.
The Flying Dragon is rising like a Phoenix into a new era! A very well deserved
holiday to you and all the best for the next 20 years and beyond.
